Should I get a 1. Glock 2. AR 15 (w/ what accessories) 3. .308

Or is there anything else you guys recommend at a minimum.

I want to use them for shtf scenario, hunting, self defence. Offence in a zombie apocalypse type scenario.

Thanks.

I would add a .22 rifle/varmint for squirrel/rabbit/small game. Or a .22 pellet rifle will work as well. Bonus for the pellet rifle:super quiet.

Glock 19 AR 15 with iron sites 12 gauge shot gun

A Ruger 10/22 is a basic staple of any gun collection.

.243 rifle with good scope 9mm full size handgun.

Not many scenarios these two guns wouldn't be able to keep up with and not any mammals on this continent that wouldn't drop from a fairly well placed shot.

Upgrade to .223 wylde for caliber availability and operability and this is an OK starting point.

A small cartridge for an accordingly small rifle, but one that permits the kind of accuracy that amounts to fast and clean kills. Popular among metallic silhouette and long range shooters for its low recoil and high accuracy. By no means an obscure cartridge, many manufacturers produce the 243 Win with every conceivable bullet type. More than six decades on the market means a great variety of rifles available.

Seems to address all concerns of OP.

.223 wylde gives access to .223 Rem + 5.56 NATO. Ultimate operability for replacement parts (barrel, etc) and ammunition.

243 Win is an obscure caliber compared to either of the above individually, let alone combined.

You may love your round in an endearing boomer-tier way, but it's bad advice for OP.

For self-defense, a full size 9mm handgun can be awkward to carry. Half the time when I carry a Glock 17 I think about buying a smaller gun like a G43 tor greater comfort.

Sorry you have small hands and/or weak forearms.

Shooting it is fine, it's appendix carrying a full size handgun that's uncomfortable. Walking around is OK but the moment I sit down in a car I have handgun prodding my abdomen.

Definitely enjoy my G43 for carrying. I couldn't imagine carrying my G19 much less a full size G17.

2 crates of AKs buried in your backyard, along with a few crates of ammo.

AKs buried in your backyard

Why haven't I thought of that? I should bury all my stuff!! I probably have a thousand AKs taking up too much space in my bedroom.

Bag concealable AR pistol with folding 'stock'. Pocket pistol and regular pistol with attached / attachable folding 'stock'.

Concealability is your primary concern.

What good does a normal rifle do when the second you pull it out your head pops off? 10" barrels on rifles basically have the exact same accuracy and range still as 16" barrels.

10" barrels on rifles basically have the exact same accuracy and range still as 16" barrels.

That's highly cartridge dependent, pistol calibers sure; they use a much faster burning powder. Rifle calibers not so much, those 6" of barrel cost about 400 fps in 5.56.

To my understanding less than 10.5" on 5.56 is when it starts to dramatically lose accuracy.

I've got a 10.5" pistol, it's mainly a novelty. I wouldn't trust it past 100 yds even though it's more than capable of it, I definitely wouldn't go any shorter. Under 10" I think it's about 100 fps or so per inch lost.

Stay away from Glocks. They suck.

I recommend at least a .40cal S&W or Springfield Armory, Or .45 1911A2 as long as it's a spec model any manufacturer will do.

Next a 12g shotgun with a folding stock and a pistol grip. Mossburg has excellent varents

Then I would get an AK47 stay away from ARs they will jam on you quickly once the shooting really starts, and in all reality the .223 or 5.56 round really sucks unless you are shooting at flesh. The round has no penetration other than people. I know from combat experience.

Then I would get a hunting rifle like a remington 700 or a varent of a .308 or 300 blackout. Stay away from newer rounds because when the shtf you'll need a weapon that has lots of ammo available.

If you have all that I would recommend getting a wheel gun for a back up piece like a .38 snubnose or .357. Revolvers are great for backup guns.

22LR for training can be helpful, as well as good for small game. Ammo is cheap and plentiful again. Not as cheap as it was, but what is...?

Many dismiss the .308, but if you're under 500 yards it's still a great cartridge. Some have switched to 6.5CM or some variant. Really, most won't need to go beyond 100 yards anyway. You shouldn't be shooting at anything at significant distance until you are a competent shot.

Truth is, just the AR will do most people - so if you can just get one, start with the AR. Can't take big game with it, but it will do for most.

Get 5 to 10 mags for every gun you have, plus a way to carry them, and good clear glass with limited magnification - or a reliable red dot.

But, my main piece of advice: buy ammo (lots of it) and get out to shoot as much as you can. And get training - even if it's a one-day course. The gun is a gun. Your skill is the primary factor.

For SHTF survival situations, you're spot on in terms of prioritizing ammo. One shot one kill is for hunting or Hollywood. Why get another gun when you can get another thousand rounds and use your existing guns longer?

12ga pump (20 if you are a little woman) .22 rifle AR and half a dozen mags .308 Handguns: 9mm or 38/.357 for smaller frame guys and women .40 or .45 for bigger dudes or very experienced smaller framed folks.

12ga shotgun

pistol, AR, and a couple of shotguns

Find a pistol you like: 9mm or .45 may be best. .357/.38 also good. Find a rifle that shoots that calibre. Add a .22lr rifle and 12ga. shotgun. 4 guns, most scenarios covered, 3 common ammo types. Don't forget to buy 4-5 bore brushes for each.

Start with an AR. That’s the most important one if you live in America. Make it viable and then add on to your collection.
