I carry a S&W 9 shield compact... I have to have the extended mag in it to get the pinky on it, if the trigger finger is extended... It isnt possible to grip the pistol grip. As a better reference... USMC boot camp 1993 -- 4 rules of rifle safety. 1. never point a weapon at anything you dont intend to shoot 2. keep the weapon on safe until you are ready to fire 3. keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire. 4. treat every weapon as if were loaded. I know they were taught before that from a guy who was an 80s Marine. But 93 is as far back as I can personally guarantee it was taught.
