Seems like a decent amount of work to put in baffles and align the holes in the trap. If you are willing to do that, couldn't a multitude of other household items be made into a suppressor? We're talking about amateur/DIY gun smithing here right?
Why bother going after someone for purchasing a tool? Has the act of manufacturing and affixing a sound limiting muzzle device not been illegal in the past?
