Its a can you can screw onto the end of a barrel. You can pour solvent into the barrel to remove lead and copper fouling, then the trap contains it.

An alternate use is that if you put baffles in them and you drill the other side then it can be made into a silencer. The ATF is trying to claim these tubes are silencers in and of themselves, which is complete BS.

Seems like a decent amount of work to put in baffles and align the holes in the trap. If you are willing to do that, couldn't a multitude of other household items be made into a suppressor? We're talking about amateur/DIY gun smithing here right?

Why bother going after someone for purchasing a tool? Has the act of manufacturing and affixing a sound limiting muzzle device not been illegal in the past?
