Yeah A competent gunsmith could shorten it. In my opinion tho you should just buy another in the barrel length you want instead of chopping, it's probably just as expensive too. Or trade/sell your current one to get the cash for a different one. You won't be happy cutting your current one if you really like it as is and besides, it's an excuse to buy another gun!
