Most modern ar’s will fire either .223 or 5.56. Always check to make sure whatever firearm you’re shooting is chambered for both before trying, however. Ie, you don’t want to fire a 5.56 out of a cowboy gun that’s only chambered for .223, otherwise you might lose your face.
