All good man. It's an M4 clone made for civilian use meaning it doesn't have burst fire or the 14.5" barrel. You might get some sideways looks and eye rolls if you go around telling everyone you have M4 Gun guys and be real dickheads.
You'ree going to have to zero those sights too so you're going to want to get the proper zeroing targets and read up on how to do it. The military targets are set up to zero at 50 yards IIRC but you'll likely be zeroing at 25 so make up you know how to compensate for that when making your adjustments.

More or less. It's a fine rifle. I have a PSA upper on mine but I've shot actual M4s. You're not missing out on anything. And wanted to add some clarification from my other comments. Get regular FMJ for the range. Something like . If the gun is chambered in 5.56 you can shoot .223. The gun might say 5.56/.223 on it somewhere meaning you can use both. If it just says .223 do not use 5.56
And are the targets I was referring to.
