You could have a half million armed guards across all of the nation's schools and still have enough gaps in coverage that the current rate of this phenomena would be unchanged. Including the tragedy today the rate for the last year for K-12 was under 40 fatalities/year.
Now arming teachers on the other hand, would be much more effective if they weren't all liberals and generally work avoidant.
