What a great pistol for a small lady! Easy to rack the slide and pop in a magazine; not a lot of recoil either. Thanks for the recommendations, it's a great fit all way around.

So you shot the EZ.

Looks badass like it’s big brothers, but it’s a lot cheaper to shoot. fmj for the range and hp for home.

I've shot maybe one or two other guns in my life but that's about it. If a lady in your life needs a weapon for self defense I'd recommend it for size, built in safety options and recoil.

The M&P EZ series. I bought my mom the 9mm variant. Pretty nice little pistol.

It's an interesting experience to own your first hand gun- it's sort of scary because this thing has so much destructive potential and you want to use it but also you don't want to ever have to use it. It does give me a sense of defense with a tremendous moral cost:benefit price

Can't say I agree, but I grew up shooting so I never really had the thought. Just practice the four basic fundamentals and they're never dangerous to you or people you care about.

If you want to use it, then use it! In fact, use it even if you don't want to so you may build and maintain skill. I have a shitload of guns, but they're all primarily for fun, and I won't lie to myself of others about that. Yeah, they're also for protection or SHTF, but that's all secondary.

If anything, getting my CCL made me much less confrontational as a person because I really don't want to deal with the legal hassle. The adage "an armed society is a polite society" is correct, at least for me.

I had one. Loved it. Bigger than my Shield 9mm, but ammo was the problem. Sold it.

Did not know that! I will keep it in mind. I wanted a revolver but the ones in my price range didn't seem to have great reviews or were hard to find. I did see a S&W snub 357 with walnut grip and really liked it but it's $900 and would probably have more recoil than I'm willing to deal with.

good luck finding ammo for it

Prolly gonna buy a couple boxes and put them away since the store I purchased from has them currently. I hope I never have to shoot it other than at the range but, the times they have a' changed.

Reloaded 1k .380 HP a few weeks back, plenty as I don't shoot it that much.
