My first was an SP-01 and the trigger was amazing out of the box. Only thing I've ever done to it was a stainless guide rod and the solid firing pin retaining pin. It's absolute tack driver but it's also a boat anchor.
I will agree with you on the decocker guns though. My PCR had the longest heaviest pull on anything I've ever owned till I sent to CGW. And the serrations on the trigger shoe was a war crime.
Glocks do have a ton of after market support and are extremely reliable but there's just too many little things wrong with them for me to really like them. I own a few, but they're just knock around SHTF backup guns.
I agree with your assessment of Glocks. That said, for a new shooter, it's good advice to start with a Glock.
If someone wants to go into detail and write a book, that's where we can get into the nuances that show CZ, Sig, Walther and other makers offer significantly better options than Glock.
