Why not both?
I don't know, guns are kind of expensive. And wouldn't the "adoption fee" now be "one gun"?
A Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun is less than $300. With ammo and tax, call it $350 and you're set for life.
Sure, you wont do much practicing, but at "inside your house" distances if you can't hit a home invader with a shotgun you're deaf, dumb, and blind.
Pets you have to feed and provide medical care for life.
adoption fees are what $100 maybe and not a fair trade considering the dogs come with lifetime vet bills and food. Guns are a one time cost short of ammo of course.
I wish guns were a one time cost. Most of them require expensive optics and upgrades, not to mention that good owners also stockpile spare parts.
that swap would be cheaper for them, gun buy back programs always run at a loss as people bring in more guns than they have actual cash. especially when they have to buyback guns people make at home depot.
my guess is the shelter is also over flowing with pittbulls
I've heard stories of people going to no kill shelters, adopting a pit, and putting them down. If I had some time and some land that needed fertilizing this seems likes a good source of fertilizer.
I've never seen a gun slip its leash and shred the face of a small child.
sounds like a trip to home depot. if all they got is pitts then my one shot home depot stick has a job to do.
