I've stood in the remains of coke factories in the jungle in Columbia and heroin production compounds in Helmand province Afghanistan. So I'm not just talking out of my hat when I tell you the "why's" and "how's". I've seen it. For twenty years the taliban were getting their weapons, explosives and other supplies from Iran, Pakistan and China, even though they had the money to produce their own. Why? Because they knew damned good and well that the us.gov was never, ever going to bomb Iran, Pakistan and China.
