Think it was like 60 cents a round in February.

5.56 only 40 cents a round now. Was over 75 cents a year ago.

Cheap 9mm is still 2x from where it should be.

[–] 4 pts

Yeah 9mm is such a rape job these days. Like I'm going to spend $20 a box for dirty ass fucking Blazer Brass.

[–] 3 pts

Is it a big deal when you're cleaning your guns after every trip to the range anyway?

[–] 3 pts

lol, no one actually does this, do they?

[–] 0 pt

I have put over 2000 rounds thru my FN 9 mil, never cleaned it, lol

Ikr. Used to be found for $0.17-$0.19/per round.

I only keep a few hundred 9mm.

[–] 2 pts

Same. It's a sidearm not a main firearm. I doubt I would ever dump hundreds of rounds of my 9mm at assailants.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

My thoughts as well. I keep plenty of rifle and shot rounds though.

I ended up reloading 9mm for the first time this year. It finally made sense from a financial standpoint. It needs to go back down because I go through way too much 9 for that.

For steel case and reman.

I think capacity is climbing.

I do not track anything, but maybe someone could tell me if primers are now available. In the past I wanted to get into reloading (for more range time), and was told that primers were scarce and it wasn't a good time to start.

Primers are available if you want to pay $130 for what used to be a $30 box.

Don't know. But the factories have started shipping 30-30 again so you should probably check it out.

[–] 0 pt

capacity is not climbing nor will it due to knowledge and money barriers to entry. also there is a monopoly on manufacturing.

I said that because i have seen reports of new factories. maybe this hasn't happened yet, but i know there are some in the works.

[–] 1 pt

perhaps but it takes years for a new factory to enter near full production and once they due they will likely be sold off to vista outdoors monopoly. this will enable continued control of ammo price and availability. they dont have to take your guns if they make ammo scarce or prohibitively expensive.

Steel cased stuff unfortunately. It works but the nice range near me is brass only :/.

Need more 45.

Yeah, they cycle fine in my experience though, can't repack them if you're into that.

The site also tells you which come in brass.

Good prices on .45 acp and long as well.

[–] 1 pt

You actually can reload steel cased, berdan primed casings are a bitch though and wear out your dies significantly faster so it's not recommended.

Am I the only one who prefers classic.ammoseek.com?

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

I'll check it out, wasn't aware of another view.

[–] 1 pt

Not now you're not. I didn't know that was an option. Thanks.

[–] 1 pt

Really? It was about 45c per round a few weeks ago.. 30c is about average for the last 5 years or so.

[–] 1 pt

Cool beans, must be the supply of primers has normalized a bit.

[–] 1 pt

I'm still paying .50 /rd dealing with places that will kindly ship to my state..

Do you mean for steel shit to fuck up your extractor? Or real brass shit? Because last time I looked this afternoon brass was $0.498.

You want to see some fucked up prices? Check out 6.5 Creedmor or .357.
