I typically double up my hearing protection at the range (30 NRR muffs + earplugs = 35 NRR). If I'm doing my math correctly, that should come out to a db reduction of (35 - 7)÷2 = 14. With handguns at indoor ranges being ~160db, how the frack do I not have hearing loss when I'm exposed to ~146db sound every time I go to the shooting range?

OSHA standards top out at 115db, so I'm not certain what to use as a benchmark.

Eh that sounds like bullshit, pun intended. Why 5? It depends on both the earplugs and muffs.

Just pay for the tax stamp and get a suppressor. 140 db is pretty safe, you can get below that with good suppressors, and with earpro and a suppressor you are golden.

Not mention shooting outside. I went to an indoor range twice in my life and both times sucked, and not just because of how loud it was.

Form 4 suppressors are going to E-file soon too. So they are saying it's going to take 6-8 weeks instead of 9-12 months.

It's so retarded that you have to jump through hoops for a suppressor. In the UK it is considered rude to shoot without one. They should be integral on most guns imo.

The news has been floating around and it's on silencershops website that E-form 4 is now live. See if you can get it cancelled and refile. Tbh I don't even know if that's possible though. I'm at 380 days now from my last form 4. Bought it with my Trump Bucks.
