Pecking order (i.e. IQ) of US Federal Agents:

  • NSA
  • FBI
  • Federal Reserve / Postal Service
  • CIA
  • Average local cop is about right here
  • Boarder patrol
  • ATF
  • DEA
  • TSA

Bottom line: DEA agents are on average dumb fucks. Most of them can't even hack being a local cop and many are only in the DEA after being rejected by the other agencies.

Boarder patrol tends to be a rougher job, but they look, on average, for more bi-lingual speakers which, on average, will result in a higher IQ agent.
