I’ve long been in the market for a semi-automatic shotgun. To me this seems like the ideal defense against mobs of any kind. The only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger (pun intended) is because of the overall unreliability of most mag-fed shotguns.

Somehow or other, I never came across the IWI Tavor TS12 until very recently. Yes, IWI is Israel Weapon Industries. But I can’t find a single review anywhere of this shotgun failing to cycle or fire when using the recommended loads. I dislike that I can’t quickly change magazines, there’s a whole reload process once the tubes are empty, but it starts with a 17-round capacity (with a ghost load), and if I’m in a situation where I need more than 17 12-gauge rounds and don’t even have a few seconds to load more, then I probably should have brought my AR instead.

Anyone have other opinions about this?

Tavors are g2g, in general. I have a 5.56 Tavor, and it is mwah.
For TEOTWAWKI or zombies, pumps will be more reliable, easier to travel with, and easier to fix. With practice, shell saddles, and some dexterity- you can be really f-ing fast. If you are not searching and shooting, top off your tube. "Always be reloading" is sage shottie advice.
