I have a Burris Fastfire on a Ruger Mark IV, takes some getting used to. Snapping to point with irons is natural to me; I find myself twisting the gun to find the dot sometimes.
I've been thinking of getting a glock or two milled, opinions on what best placement/milling option is?
I have the optics (Holosun) installed in front of the rear site. I had the gunsmith mill out the slides while leaving the existing site groove in place.
Yeah to my knowledge that was the only way to go till I saw the jagerworks site.
They make it look like putting the backup in front might be better, and the SRO looks like a huge window compared to the RMR. I'm tempted to just ditch the rear backup on one of mine since I've heard the sights turn useless once a suppressor heats up.
I don't have optics on my carbines, just on two pistols, and I don't have suppressors on them. I like the higher sights with the optic so I can put the red dot right on top of the front post.
