The only advantage of silenced weapons is they don't leave a signature. If you fire a shot that breaks the sound barrier it is easily honed into. A silenced weapon you cannot figure out what direction the shot is coming from. This said, a silenced 45 subsonic is quieter that a 22 short. Where as a 7.62 from a bolt gun is similar to a 22 lr
