Despite rumors of ammunition reappearing in stores, I continue to be laughed at when asking for 9mm. Considering the state of affairs in the last year, what kind of pistol-type firearm would you consider adding to your arsenal?

I want more guns.

9mm is spendy. Got 500 RDS of refilled shells for $250, so I'm happy there, but they used to be half that price or less.

I've got 3 hand guns, probably gonna get a short shotgun cause I'm on a budget, but fuck me I'd love a Daniel defense AR pistol.

If youre gonna get an ar pistol, get one. Feds are after them.

You can always build one. They can't stop you.

Indeed. I need to buy some 80% lowers and a jig. Just want to buy them cash somewhere.

I know! Unfortunately I don't have that kind of money right now.

Then just get a lower, or 80% lower and you can build the rest later.

Oh. Nice idea

Thank you. It's not my idea tho, it's promoted frequently on gun forums/ yt vids from gun owners/ gun shop owners, or anyone in the prepper crowd.

Also, grab some mags. 30 round Pmags are pretty standard, and you can find them between $11-14 a pop, or cheaper if you get 10. I've never met someone who lamented having too many pmags. But even if you do, they hold their value. You can sell it (particularly if it's still in the plastic) to lots of people. And if the gob'ment goes after them, you can sell them for a-LOT of money (but let's hope that doesn't happen)

I switched to carrying a flame thrower. Just fill up at the gas station. Got disqualified at the skeet shoot though.

Those prices are up now too.

I would recommend a Glock 21. 45 ACP is a great round IMO. Ammunition is common. Plenty of stopping power.

I see them at big box stores now. They never left the shelf at ranges and gun shops. The gun shops just jacked up their prices to "fuck you" levels so you only bought them if you really needed them.

Let this be a lesson to everyone: Next time there is a pro-gun (or at least not rabidly anti-gun ) prez and the price hits rock bottom, buy 30k rounds, or whatever you expect to shoot in 4 years.

All the ammo you can afford, would be the appropriate amount. I see people buying more guns, and not having the ammo to shoot / train / stay on-top with and cry inside. I get its good to have guns, but they're il-performing clubs at best without ammo.

Fully agree with this. People who don't train with guns think just owning them is some magical talisman. It's like, haven't' you ever been in, or seen a fight and just froze? That can happen if there's a gun in your hand, or on your dresser, or in your safe too.

Something something sink to the level of your training.

It's better to have a few basic firearms and a bunch of ammo then to have a specific and niche gun for every situation and no training with it.

They never left the shelf at ranges and gun shops.

Uh, the shelves at gun stores here look like toilet paper shelves last year.

The big box stores had bare shelves for a long time, but the ranges would limit 2 boxes (officially, but the owner is my bro, so he let me get up to 6, but I didn't take him up on it b/c it made me feel guilty... #WhitePeopleProblems )

Some gun shops limited to a few boxes/day, others jacked the price up cray-cray. At one point this one store had 223 for sale in boxes of 20 for $39.99 each. Nothing special, just range ball ammo. Not even the worst hoarders want to pay $2/round for that, so they had a fat stack of it.

Also, I've told you before but it bears repeating: I love your name, and you're a bro for thinking of it.

It's out there but it goes really fast when it hits the shelves. 40cal goes slower that 9mm though

[–] 0 pt

Ain't no nigger gonna outrun it though

[–] 0 pt

I meant slower off the shelves but we are both correct.

They do seem to have a hard time dodging bullets.

I just bought a .357 that I have no ammo for. 9 is your best bet. Jest be will.ing to pay almost a dollar a round. .22 Lr is still 10c cents a round.

https://ammopricesnow.com/9mm/ The prices is dropping but it probably won't be another year or two before you see 9mm at $0.25 a round. Adjust your budget to buy small amounts every month. Once prices start falling more increase your orders.
