Training is a great idea. But state mandated training is dumb.
Criminals that want to carry a gun are going to carry a gun and no law is going to stop them or make them attend a stupid training course.
Yes, but if you are confronted by said criminal, don't you wanna be able to out-shoot him? Training is simply a good idea..for YOUR sake. When the adrenaline is pumping, and/or the light is bad, you want an edge over Tyrone.

I said "training is a great idea". State mandated training is fucking dumb. Responsible gun owners train. Criminals aren't going to obey a law that requires training. Irresponsible gun owners aren't going to learn anything from a 4 or 8 hour state mandated training course, given 1 time, or annually. Mandates to be able to carry are impediments to personal protection.
Look at how gov works. The class would likely be about diversity and critical race theory. Your white privlege is what allows you to carry a gun. Tranny lives matter gun safety.

That way you can shoot and kill the fucker that couldn't.
Even if you haven't shot a handgun in literally years, you should have no problem putting all your shots into center of mass. Sure, you might end up with a grouping the size of a dinner plate but the attacker is still dead.
Training is simply a good idea. If compulsory, make it free.
