the failure was the back cap threads shearing off, too much pressure too fast, the barrel didnt expand a lighter gun the barrel probaby could not hold the pressure, 50 cal one would think would this enough to hold the pressure and the bullet would push through I almost wonder... if it was a single shot like that but you typical bolt setup the pressure could of escaped avoiding this, but probably would blown the bolt back .. idk. the guy is lucky to be alive
