What the actual fuck. I just can't believe that none of these companies are able to figure out their primer shortage. How difficult is it to make ammo? People can make it at home!

Everyone is talking about Biden's gun bill or whatever, not realizing that without ammo (and affordable ammo to actually practice) gun ownership is pretty much useless. If it costs more than a dollar a round, people will just use guns only for hunting, or will be horribly out of practice and not proficient if they have to defend themselves.

Ammo is as important as the actual weapon.

I do have one particular crazy prepper friend who showed me his ammo stash one time (pre-rona) and I couldn't fucking believe how much he had. Crates upon crates of the stuff in a dozen calibers. He had built custom shelving specifically for it.

Can't imagine how much he has now.

You realize in the early days of america it wasn't all that uncommon to own entire warships and cannons, right?

It's not crazy to prep... but this guy is crazy.

I suppose I didn't adequately illustrate. He had more ammo in stock than all the rounds I've ever shot ever. He had enough ammo to make sure everyone in my neighborhood could have sunday gunday for weeks. Half of his basement was ammo storage, some of which dated back to the early double oughts. He was a compulsive ammo buyer. That didn't count the ammo in various gun safes/cabinets/ closets. I don't mean "he had a lot" I mean he had more than he'd ever shoot in his entire lifetime. All I can imagine is that he's doubled down since rona.

Yeah, and those guys had less ammo than my nutter friend.

Civilian armories are a thing, and they should be normalized and encouraged.

The opposite direction will be demonization for having more than 500 rounds of ammo.
