The only gun that I don't have that I would really love to have! I would love to own a good 1911! It has always turned out that when I found a good deal on one I didn't have the money for it, and when I had the money I couldn't find one that wasn't way over priced!

I can lend you the money for one with a special low interest rate for you, one time deal! I don't usually do this.

Haha. Thanks anyway rabbi but I will just wait until I find one at the same time as I have the money for one. My grandpa always taught me that "if you don't have the money to pay for something right then, then you don't need to buy it right then." I will listen to his advice on this.

I bought my first 1911 in 2015 for around $400. Remington 1911 Commander. That was before they lowered their quality.

My best and favorite pistol.

Oh yeah! I believe I remember when Remington ran a sale on their 1911's! My wife was going through a physically challenging time. She was having problems and dr's were having a difficult time diagnosing what was wrong. The money I had saved for a 1911 went to help fund the college "education" of several dr's kids. Tests and "specialist" visits and on and on, drained all that I had saved. Of course I immediately started saving again as soon as I could. There have been a few things occur after that that drained me all over again. Like the time when I could get a Rock Island 1911 for $389! It always seems to be something getting in the way of me getting one! It will happen though!!

I feel your pain. I should have spent more money on my health instead of guns! I bought one of the newer crappier Remington 1911s as my new daily carry. Carrying the good one made me feel guilty for damaging the blueing.

Good luck to ya on your hunt. Avoid Gunbroker, bunch of scalping cunts.

Rock River Arms, I think it’s Turkish, but they’re damn fine in the $500 range.
