"I performed all the safety checks required by the benevolent government so I am now qualified to carry a handgun"

"More at 10: Vigilante tries to stop robbery, instead accidentally shoots multiple bystanders and self"

There is a lot more to owning guns than a background check, like practice, a lot. Because if you ever really have to use it, you're not going to want to fuck it up.

Guns should always be a last resort. My wife has a little revolver she keeps in her purse. The purse has a special compartment with a lock on it. I try to drill this into her head all the time: You never pull a gun unless you are ready to kill someone. Not scare them. Kill them.

The special lock on the compartment makes it absolutely useless to keep a gun on her besides giving whatever nigger that steals her purse a gun

Yeah, I agree, it should be quick and easy to pull. Also, brandishing a gun without firing it is a perfectly acceptable tactic in certain situations.

As a younger man, I accidentally ended up on some farmer's property after exploring a national forest. Little did I know that said farmer had been thieved from not long ago. So he draws on me but points the barrel below my feet and we hash it out. Very glad he didn't shoot a lost 18 year old, but if I had been him, I would have presented arms too.

We have 2 toddlers man. You can't be too careful. The revolver has no safety or exposed hammer. So, she could shoot through the purse if she had too.

Try getting her a S&W Shield EZ (pewpewtactical.com). I got one for my wife (as the link says) and she's never liked a gun more. She can rack it and load it without help (either mine, or mechanical like a maglula)
