Picked up one for my wife last year; best damned decision I ever made. She can load the thing without a maglula (or me doing it for her) and rack it 100% of the time (again, no input from me necessary)

>Go .380 cheaper ammo

.....wut? Where do you live that 380 is cheaper than 9mm?

> If you're expecting body armor go 9mm w/ hydroshocks

Hydroshock rounds are hollow points, which distribute the force on impact, so they're actually better at non-armored opponents, but it doesn't really matter as type 3a is pretty common and can take any standard 9mm defensive round.

I am glad you agree that 380 is good for self defense. There are some caliber snobs out there who think if you have something smaller than a 300 winmag, it will bounce off of an opponent.

Note, the guy with name of a famous sniper tells you horse shit about ammo. Doh!

I was referring to the powdergrain of hydrashok. Many armor pen rounds are illegal in many places(Muh cop killer bullets spooky). Hydrashok will definitely punch through a windshield, .380 almost certainly will but might ricochet

Yeah fuck that noise (muh cop killer bullets) especially considering any normal hunting caliber rifle will punch right through soft armor.

Oh regarding price, I looked it up and the ammo is essentially the same price now. I buy in bulk every few years lol. I've got multiple 5 gallon buckets of .223 as that's what I mostly shoot. Last time I bought .380 it was cheaper.
