If you want to balance range, resolution, features, and budget, the ATN THOR 4 models are probably the best you're going to get without breaking the bank; $1500-3500 spec dependent.
Thermals ain't cheap.
I had been looking at those. They are really cool. Especially since they record video and everything. A bit out of my price range. Maybe one day if I could get two or three stimulus checks.
I had a friend recommend one a while back that retails for about 1k from our local brick and mortar store. Forget the brand, but the paper specs were decent. IIRC, it was 640x480, 1.5-8x, and with a thermal range of around 450m. I can ask him later what it was.
Thanks. I am just looking at shooting some hogs behind my dad's at night. Not even over 100 yards. Years ago it was one hog and now there are 3 groups of them.
