I'm gonna call bullshit (not on you OP, I know you're a bro).

This dude recommends a snub nose 357 magnum over a full size 9mm that cops normally carry? 9mm Can stop a 230lb human but not a 45lb pit bull? The guy who wrote this is the same sort of person who will tell you that a .22 isn't deadly. Caliber snobs are the worst.

For that matter, the Reddit poster makes no effort to differentiate FMJ vs JHP 9mm. Needing four rounds of FMJ to kill a pitbull sounds dubious. Needing four rounds of JHP sounds insane when the median number to drop an adult hunan is what, 2? 2.2?

And if law enforcement aren't carring JHP they're idiots given that dropping humans and minimizing over-penetration are their only concerns, not cost.

Yeah, no shit, are they aiming for the tail?

Yeah, you would think... but you never really know what it is going to take to stop something pitbull or other. See my other comment in this thread.

I hate caliber snobs too. I remember 22 Magnums being a popular gun in the 70's.

I would still like to have a cc 357 and it's probably the next one on my shopping list.

Is this why .357 Magnum Revolver has remained a defecto firearm for so long?

You were around in the 70's huh? Any time I see footage from that area all the girls ALL OF THEM are hot; healthy body weights, no tattoos. WTF happened. But, I really don't understand how you lived without the internet. Not being able to know something without going to a library and looking up a book?

Hey, .357 is a respectable cartridge. The best gun to carry is the one you're the most comfortable with.

Memory retention was significantly higher. Back then you had memorized a dozen phone numbers. Libraries were popular and lines at card bins were real. Social skills were strong because you constantly socialized face to face.

In the 80s, girls would spend hours preparing themselves for the world. Not heavy makeup. Nice hair and usually a feminine outfit which complimented their figure. People make fun of big hair today, but it was a mark of a girl who cared about herself. A girl who is feminine.

Come the warm months, my friends would all sing "summer time" when there was something female to see. And we were constantly singing.

I honestly feel sorry for men who have the pick of today's garbage dump. Low value skanks everywhere. The average girl today is what previous generations called practice girls. The standards of the skanks are insane; as if their trainwreck is a worthy prize.

Tats have always been viewed as degenerate. They are the mark of degenerates and especially skanks. They mark the self selected miserable. The exception have always been military marks and secret societies. Of course, is anti-Christian, which is why Hollywood Jews have taught kids that degenerate behavior is cool.

Yep. Any contrary opinon to yours is bullshit.

Many ignorant men like to thump their chest about various pistol cartridges. But the fact is, it's always about shot placement. Always.

As rounds and cartridges get bigger the margin for error increases. Ultimately it's always about shot placement.
