I think the idea of pulling the trigger multiple times is designed to mimic shooting more than racking in between each shot does.

All well and good until your first FTE, FTF, etc when you need it most.

Trigger muscle discipline equally important as action muscle discipline. Can't hesitate to manipulate the action under any circumstances where trigger click doesn't go boom.

Totally agree. Training for failures is one thing I do regularly, usually when I'm at the range with a buddy.

We mix snap caps in the magazine with live rounds, not letting the other person see what we're doing. Then insert and deal with the 'failure' when it happens. It's not perfect but it's the best we could come up with.

Ok. That's a solid strategy. I may even give that a try.

I religiously dry-fire and action manipulate over and over for each weapon for muscle memory. Your method doesn't sound half bad because it's more chaotic.
