Was thinking 30-30. I've never shot one but it looks like fun.

Worth it?

Practically? No.

Way more fun than a semi-auto? Yes.

Leaver action is so much fun. It's like the difference between driving an automatic and driving a stick.

I love your answer and comparison to a stick shift. Lever actions aren't the most practical shooting devices, but I don't consider them impractical for certain uses or certain cartridges, particularly vs. a pump or bolt action.

For example, as a .45-70 platform (eg. Bear/Bush rifle), the lever action seems ideal vs. other formats, even perhaps an auto loader.
