Yeah, cheap ammo isn't worth it. Steel cases, especially.

I've never used steel cases, but sounds like a bad idea.

Steel case ammo is the shit... I can shoot cheap and I don't feel bad when I leave all the empty cases on the ground. With brass I feel obligated to pick them up to reload.

Steel case ammo can really damage the chamber of your pistol if you're not careful. Lots of wear.

I'm going to shut up now.

Do you have any proof to back that up or are you just circle jerking what the internet says. I’ve been shooting steel case stuff for going on almost 20 years and I have yet to see any damage.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBAh_8usXBI (Sorry it’s a Jewtube video) This guy does some actual hardness testing on steel cases and the results seem to say otherwise.

And here is some data on the bimetal jackets used on most steel case ammo and barrel life.

The only guns of mine I try not to shoot steel case out of is the ones with fluted chambers as the steel cases don’t expand as easy and it makes the guns a tad dirtier. But I would shoot them in a heartbeat if that is all I had.
