An n=1 means shit, but for noobs just starting out it can mean the world. Bottom line — sight alignment means hits and practice increases speed, no matter what one prefers

Good shooting. I've never used a pistol with a red-dot, how are they for both-eye-open shooting? Not that I'm any good at it but it's something I'm intrigued.

Not me, but I’m a fan of pistol mounted red dots and can shoot very well with them. None of my own have them, for simplicity’s sake, but they are excellent for both eyes open shooting once acclimated to the sight window

A "heavy" slide mounted scope can reduce recoil. I suppose it's not an issue with lightweight scopes or other mounts, but perhaps with a match pistol.

Zero power scopes should work with 2-eye techniques. I'm pretty sure I've seen that in a video, but I couldn't think of which video now.
