I bought a whole bunch of 80% frame kits and saved them. Every now and then I will pull one out, finish it, then buy the parts to complete the gun. I have a pistol caliber carbine too (which is great for clearing a room - yes I practice in my house) but nothing really ling-range.

I wish I had the time and the money to build my own guns. That would be very cool. One thing I do plan on doing someday is getting all the equipment I need to reload my casings. Ammo is so damn expensive these days. And in these crazy times, the purchase of ammo could very well be outlawed. Lord knows the left is fighting desperately to disarm us all, while at the same time letting criminals out of prison. Look what they've done in Calif. Crimes that were felonies are now misdemeanors, so the cops aren't even bothering arresting the scum that's taking advantage of the situation. Calif. is a good example of what the left wants to do to the whole country.

Believe it or not it takes much less time to complete a pistol frame than you'd think. My first one too an hour just to finish the polymer portion. Now I can build a complete working handgun in maybe 45 minutes and you'd swear it came from the factory.

Here's a great source for frames and parts:
