I live in a location where I have to ask permission from the government in order to exercise my 2A rights. Twice every decade I have to fill out forms and pay a fee. The first time you do this around these parts it is quite the hassle. Mandated education courses, live fire test, background checks, etc. The whole nine yards.
I the past week I have had 3 different people come to me and say "This pandemic thing is really showing me that I need to be able to protect myself. I think it is time to finally go out and buy a gun." These are left leaning folks who seem to have been under the impression that they could go and buy one at the corner store. They are shocked and indignant that they are not trusted members of society. They are outraged that the process will take months before they are allowed by the gov. to protect their home and family.
All I want to do is rub their noses in it like a misbehaving dog. It is what they deserve... these fuckers are why these laws get on the books.
...But I am not. They are seeing the light for the first time and this is the perfect time to convert people.
