Hong Kong Engineers sent us BODY ARMOR - The ironic surprise

Chinese CIRCUIT BOARD armor - Would it save your life?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpxmC5sYnWk

Rather interesting topic on multiple fronts. People in Hong Kong sent several different hard and soft panels to these guys to test .38 special and 9mm penetration against them. The reason for those calibers is because they are supposedly widely used by police forces.

The hard panels were pieces that the engineers created themselves and curcuit boards (~$5 each) ranging from 6mm to 10mm in thickness that were purchased from China. The Chinese boards were able to easily stop .38 special, shot from a snub nose, cold. Nothing sent or tested was able to stop 9mm being shot from a 10" barrel, which was used to simulate a mp5.

The initial tests were done in December and the video posted three weeks later to "allow bulk ordering" prior to the tests being posted to youtube. Seems like there isn't much of a need for protection by protestors at the moment but could still be useful for any pesky forced quarantine roundups.

As mentioned, interesting on many fronts.

Bottles, absolutely. 12oz cans may pose a risk. 24oz cans are a no go.
