.308 semiautomatics just get so heavy. I think I'd rather stick to .300 Blackout / 5.56 semiautomatics and .308 bolt actions.
For me, it'd be an AR15 for home defense and a 308 bolt action for hunting. (If I hunted.)

On top of those two examples of how it seems this person shouldn't write about firearms...the case is moot on most of what they discuss. The main differences is ammo weight vs capacity vs stopping power vs compatibility (which this author doesn't even touch on for the ar10/lar308 platform as a con).
Long/heavy ar15s and short/light ar10s are a thing.
