Firstly, that's not at all what I mean when I reference Amnesia... but that's for another time and another place.
Secondly, I'm sure this finding is more indicative of /ourguys/'s efforts than it is people not necessarily noticing the "holocaust".
To be more specific, the "side effect" you're noticing is likely more correlative with the counter-culture frame /ourguys/ have inspired and less about Gen Y beginning to notice things on their own.
So, I guess I mean to say it's not as organic as you'd prefer to think. Just don't think you're alone, because that's certainly what I'd prefer as well.
