I've been using Armslist to see what ammo is hard to find right now. You can tell by looking and seeing what guns are being sold in your area and what calibers you are mostly seeing. Hasn't failed me yet.

I would also recommend you posting about ammoseek and maybe providing instructions on how to set up alerts and whatnot. Most folks might not be informed on that and these are the people that you want to have ammo as well. Just a thought.
