It is. Some of the shed designs I've seen are actually quite nice.
I wasn't looking at this as a primary residence. It would end up being more of a weekend retreat cabin situation. So I wouldn't care if it didn't have running water or electricity.
I did look at some basic off grid DIY solar / battery setups and they are too bad. If you don't mind running a generator if you get a string of cloudy days to recharge your batteries then a setup doesn't need to be too expensive.
Anyways, I have a couple of years to think about it. I could do it now, but it isn't something I want to go into debt to do. I'd rather wait.
