Hi everyone,
A while back I said I decided to move to Idaho. It's finally happening. My Dad got a job in Boise and I'll be moving over with them to get situated. Still don't have steady income so looking into different options, especially once the move is finished. I have one prospect but it's 6-8 months out. SporeStack is kicking up slightly in business but still not enough to rely on just yet. I hope that will change.
I'm grateful to get out of Colorado and over to Idaho. Hope to explore land options in Idaho county and maybe right up near Canada.
As far as Goat's Gulch Van Horn goes, I still have the land. I think a West Texas Goat's Gulch would be ideal in Fort Davis but realisticaly maybe Terlingua Ranch would be best. Van Horn can certainly work, it's just kind of exposed while being remote. There's absolutely nothing in the way of amateur radio in Van Horn where it's all over Fort Davis and Terlingua Ranch (should be in TR but I haven't tested).
Not sure when I'll be in Texas next. I definitely see myself doing Goat's Gulch in Idaho (or maybe Alaska some day if I'm crazy enough). If any of you want to run with Goat's Gulch Van Horn / West Texas, be my guest. I know the cold isn't for everyone. The heat definitely isn't for me though and I love the trees and mountains (of course West Texas has some mountains).
