Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Bartoszewski said that if the Israeli prime minister comes to Poland, he will be arrested in accordance with the country's obligations to the ICC.

Bartoszewski's comments were made on Friday in a commentary to the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita regarding preparations for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Previously: Netanyahu was indicted along with former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on a series of ICC crimes. States that have signed the Rome Statute are legally obligated to carry out ICC arrest warrants.

Polish sources told Rzeczpospolita that Warsaw is declaring its readiness to execute the ICC warrant against Netanyahu in connection with its hopes for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin, for whom the ICC also issued an arrest warrant back in 2023.
