it's beyond obvious peace isn't their priority or concern.

This is posturing. There are plenty of actions France can/should take that doesn't involve a peace talk between the US and Russia. But he won't take any drastic decisions because he's a puppet and puppets do what they are told.

It's true that the only real options he has are those within the range of "US acceptable"... The US don't want a peace talk with russia, at least not under this admin... I'm not certain the next admin will be that much different regarding foreign policy btw

It's a conflict between US and russia, the rest are proxies

The French have been on the wrong side of a lot of European ground wars....

The US isn't interested in peace. Given that a bill has just been tabled that would remove government oversight for arms sales to foreign countries, you know who is in charge. They want the freedom to use Ukraine as an arms dumping ground, with the US taxpayer footing the bill. And the bill will pass. It's not even a question.

We're entering a whole new kind of arms race - one without an opponent. Just arms build-up and build-up. A never-ending supply.

And weapons justify their use. Get ready for lots more conflicts.

A dying regime who just lost a 20 year war trying to still act like they’re relevant.

It’s actually really pathetic we’ve fallen so far in only a few decades.
