Aww gee. Couldn't have happened to a more upstanding, loyal, good-natured, morale set of individuals, huh?

Such a shame.

/s obviously.

Hope they crash more of them. All of them in fact.

A lot of those aircraft and vehicles you see had been gifted to the Afghan government and were already Afghan military property.

Efforts were made by individual units to demil and otherwise render useless the vehicles that were still under direct us.mil control at the time. Efforts tended to vary according to an individual unit's situation at the time.

The situation was fluid and you don't necessarily want to totally disable an aircraft or vehicle that you might turn around and suddenly need to evac yourself across the border to Uzbekistan.

Do you know how many got left behind? No? That's okay. Nobody does. And nobody in the us.gov is saying.

Nobody wants to be the one left without a chair when the music stops, so nobody is in a big itching hurry to set fire to the furniture. You might need it.

Hum... aren't simulators made to prevent these occurrences?

They should stick to what they're good at: camels and caves.
