The Turks have been bumbling idiots for centuries. They either failed to join the winning sides of wars or failed to join in to win. The only thing they almost accomplished was killing a whole bunch of Armenians, but now lie about it on their mothers grave! However, they fucked that up too. Heck most of them are Greeks by heritage.
