It is happening, but gov isn't stupid and knows people have mobile phones and VPN.
The main problem is western media using/flooding videos without context and stick some clickbait titles/stories to them for traffic/revenues.
By doing so, they prevent real news from getting attention.

"Imagine if your government did this to you?" isn't part of the title it's a question thrown at the end of the article
Those scenes in the vids happen to have surfaced in the same time frame as the so called "war time measures" declaration

It's like the videos of people lying dead on the floor automatically branded as coronavirus.
They seem to forget that people didn't suddenly stop to die for random reasons when the outbreak started.
