gab.com is registered with the Cloudflare nameservers. Bad idea. While Cloudflare can do some load balancing, they are themselves a single point of failure. Cloudfare has deplatformed 8chan, taking a side in the culture war.

Very true. But it is not apparent at this point whether Cloudflare has any part in the current Gab outage. Cloudflare is reporting the gab servers to be not responding. Also, subdomains such as chat.gab.com (chat.gab.com) and news.gab.com (news.gab.com) are still working.
