Ashkenazi aren't a race. At most, they are an ethnic group, or sub-group. The point is you could use label as a substitute or they could break it down as something like 40-50% of MENA - Palestinian/ Turkish & 30% European - English/ German/ Polish/ Slavic. I'm not going to talk to a Race Denier.
