I hope airlines start having a sample seat (like how they have those metal frames to test your luggage). If you can't fit in a single seat, you don't board the plane. End of story.
Yes, but it has to be done BEFORE "security". That way they don't even clog up the security line/transit to the gate/etc before they just get rejected.
There are clearly more invasive ways to do this like requiring a doctor supplied height/weight/measurements before even being allowed to confirm a booking but we all know that would be rejected and probably should for the most part... Though, I would rather the fat fuck's used livestock transit rather than try to force themselves into human spaces.
Agreed, the fitting needs to happen before the security.
Clearly outline the seating policy in a huge font, make the buyer check a box etc that agrees to "all guests of airline must be able to comfortably fit in the sample seat. Failure to fit in said seat will result in the immediate refusal of the "individual" from the flight, their ticket will be cancelled and an administration fee equal to the cost of the ticket will be immediately applied, and no refund for the cost of the ticket will be issued".
Yes, I like this. I think that we should start an airline. I hear that SPIRIT is going out of business, maybe we could crowdfund the first "anti-fat express". "We get you there on-time and under-budget because you are human sized".
We could even bring back 2-3 free "check" bags for that weight reduction possibly.
