I know it's easy to simply blame people for having no self control or being lazy couch potatoes, but when the numbers reach this proportion, it should be clear there is more to it than just lazy people. It should be incredibly clear now that all of our food has been adulterated to the point where getting fat is nearly unavoidable. The jews fucked with our food so much to make us fat and unhealthy and we're seeing the biggest shift here within one generation which tells us it is absolutely an artificial happening. We need to 110 so we can fix our food again and reverse this evil adulteration. We need to hurry before we are physically unable to manage it.

Yeah, there is very clearly something going on with the food supply. More of a reason to make friends with your local farmer/rancher/buthcer and to try to grow as much if your own food as you can so you know exactly what went into it.

I'm not even sure that helps much since the damage is already done at the seed/species/cultivar level so even small growers aren't necessarily free from the adulteration. Add to that the problem of not every area having access to local growers/producers due to various factors and circumstances. We need to reset our entire food supply system and get GMO, monocultures, hormones and pesticides/herbicides out of the equation everywhere if we want to fix our food.

Everything you said and more. There's been speculation about animal feed, too. It's a problem all the way back to the treatment of the soil the plants are being grown in. There are fertilizers that will kill everything (micro ecosystems) in the soil

I'd like to see a "natural solutions" proposal for agriculture, just in general. We've been doing it for thousands of years without massive amounts of chemicals. (Cover crops and crop rotations have been a thing for centuries.) Why not go back? What changed? jews. jews and thier sheckles changed things.

Came here to say this. Yes, we are more sedentary. But something is fucked up …this isn’t right.

Cut out seed oils, canola oil, sugar and starches. Eat organic grassfed and grass finished beef, with lots of fat on it. Cook your food in beef tallow, butter, olive oil (cold pressed, 1st pressure of course, or coconut oil. Cook it with garlic, onions and ginger. If that is what you eat, it is impossible to be fat.

Yes, we have metabolic health crisis in the Land Of The Free Refill and seem to be waddling towards and over the sugary cliffs of destruction. Numbers do not lie. However....according to BMI, which is the current Standard Of Care barometer, at 6' 3" 220 lbs, I fall into the overweight bucket despite the fact that I am at 10% body fat and have biomarkers of men half my age. Takeaway: BMI is bullshit.

[–] 1 pt

BMI is used because it works in the vast majority of cases. It has never worked for someone like you and was not intended to. Just keep that in mind.

[–] 1 pt

Oh, I am well aware. But it would not be difficult to implement a a better measurement standard. Hell, even something as dumbed down simple as Waist to Hip ratio is a better gross predictor of health. Belly Fat does not lie.

[–] 1 pt

I get where you are coming from. People are too stupid to even understand BMI. Changing things will complicate the dumb even more.

It's pretty fucking obvious if you are fat/overweight. There are just a bunch of morons that think they need something to prove they are/aren't (that they then argue against saying its inaccurate because it does not work for a small portion of the population).

Thus, why this is in /s/fatpeoplehate. ;)

My fault, I just don't gain weight.
