They aren't living consciously and are brainwashed by what they see on screens. The talmudvision tells them to be body positive and eat what they want, so they believe it, because they think that's socially acceptable. I don't blame the land whales. I blame the jews. The jews control all of the levers that could reverse the problem, but they exacerbate it instead.
