This is called the Broken window fallacy.

But what happened to body acceptance?

It's still there in parallel. Ozempic is there for diabetic management. Wegovy is the one for fat management. The real alarm that has been ringing is we now have a society pressed by a marketing, grocery, and goyslop Goliath to accept that diabetes is a normal condition.
